1. Ceremony dates and times

We're excited to announce our graduation ceremonies will be held in December 2023 at the St Lucia and Gatton campuses. You'll attend a ceremony at the campus where your program was based. .

Eligible students will receive an email from 23 October 2023 confirming their December ceremony details.

As of 1 January 2023, all graduating students will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to graduate and receive their award, in addition to the successful completion of academic requirements. Some offshore students may be exempt from providing a USI and will need to provide a USI Exemption to the University by the due date.

Your eligibility to graduate and receive your award is provisional on the following requirements:

  1. The completion of all academic requirements of your program
  2. The submission of a USI that can be verified by the University, OR, the submission of a USI Exemption to the University.

If you are unsure, please complete the USI Quiz

For more information about providing your USI, please visit the USI website

UQ will endeavour to adhere to the scheduled dates, times and venues, however, if ceremonies are rescheduled, delayed or relocated, UQ is not responsible for any inconvenience or costs that may be incurred.

To ensure the best experience for our graduating students, there have been some amendments to the December 2023 graduation schedule. To view ceremony dates and times, download the graduation schedule (PDF, 140.3 KB) or select your faculty:

  1. The completion of all academic requirements of your program
  2. The submission of a USI that can be verified by the University, OR, the submission of a USI Exemption to the University.
