2. How much can I borrow?

In 2026, the maximum amount you can borrow is:

  • $10,130 for study in Asia
  • $8,442  for study not in Asia
  • $1,345 (supplementary amount) for Asian language study in preparation for study in Asia.*

* To be eligible for this supplementary amount, you must be applying for an OS-HELP loan for study in Asia. See the University's OS-HELP Loan Guidelines (PDF, 228 KB) for more information.
