Your first priority in your final semester is to make sure your graduation semester is correct in mySI-net. To check your graduation semester, log in to mySI-net, select the 'Graduation' tile and then:

If it’s before 31 August:

  • Go to ‘Expected Graduation Semester’ and select ‘Semester 2’ of the current year. Click ‘Save’.

If it’s after 31 August:

  • Go to ‘Expected Graduation Semester’ and make sure ‘Semester 2’ of the current year is displaying.
  • If the wrong semester is displaying, contact your faculty or school.

To ensure you receive accurate graduation documents at your ceremony, check your personal details are correct in mySI-net. Select the 'Personal Details' tile, then:

Please note that if you do not update your personal details prior to your conferral date and the graduation documents issued to you are subsequently incorrect, you may be charged a replacement fee if you wish to have your documents reissued.

Update your personal details by 5pm on 29 November 2023.

    Graduation ceremony invitations

Once you're identified as a potential graduand, you'll be invited to complete a 'Conditional Graduation Application form' in mySI-net.

Your 'Conditional Graduation Application form' is where you can:

    • RSVP (yes or no) for a graduation ceremony, or
    • request a later graduation ceremony.

These invitations will be sent to your student email on a rolling basis from 23 October 2023. Don’t worry if your friends have received an email but you haven’t. Your records may still be under review.

Complete the form straight away. It must be submitted by 30 November 2023. You have to complete the form whether or not you plan on going to your ceremony.

If you do not complete your USI requirement, you will not have your award conferred and you will not be able to attend a graduation ceremony. The University of Queensland is not responsible for any inconvenience or costs that may be incurred in failing to complete your USI requirement.
