Skills for study: Writing

The Skills for study: Writing program comprises three 1½ hour sessions which run over three consecutive days. The program is recommended for all postgraduate and undergraduate students in:

  • Business, Economics and Law (BEL) Faculty
  • Health and Behavioural Science (HABS) Faculty
  • Health, Medicine and Behavioural Science (HMBS) Faculty

    About the Program:

The Skills for Study: Writing program introduces key approaches to critical thinking and writing at university, including how to plan, structure and express your ideas clearly in academic assignments.

Across a series of interactive sessions, you will work through examples and short activities to help you understand how ideas are developed, organised and communicated in academic writing, and how you can apply these strategies in your own study.

The sessions are designed to build on each other, so attending all sessions is recommended. However, you can attend individual sessions depending on your needs.
