As you approach the end of your HDR program, here's what you'll need to do to prepare to leave UQ.

Use the following information as a guide to supplement your institute or school's off-boarding process.

6. Update Researcher IDs and ORCID

Ensure your ORCID profile is complete and up to date with your preferred email address listed so you can remain contactable via your publications.

It is not possible to amend the contact email address on past publications that appear on eSpace, ORCID or indexed databases, however, you can make sure that your current contact details are available. To do this, you need to ensure that your ORCID profile is complete and up to date with your preferred (post-UQ) email address listed. Your ORCID profile allows you to be located and contacted throughout your career.

Another reason to have your ORCID id linked to your publications is where your name as author is recorded in more than one form. This can be missed by the databases and reduces the number or works locatable through a search of only 1 version of your name. We also recommend ensuring that you have set up your Scopus and Publons/Researcher IDs, used by Scopus and Web of Science databases respectively, and all these identifications cross linked to ensure the greatest level of discoverability of your works.

Note eSpace is a UQ repository only, the primary reference point for your publications should be ORCID as eSpace will automatically draw publication data from ORCID.

You can find instructions on how to set up your researcher ID’s and linking on the library's website.
