Prepare to leave UQ

As you approach the end of your HDR program, here's what you'll need to do to prepare to leave UQ.

Use the following information as a guide to supplement your institute or school's off-boarding process.

  1. Create a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  2. Explore support
  3. Advise UQ staff of your departure date
  4. Check fees and fines
  5. Prepare to finalise your research
  1. Update Researcher IDs and ORCID
  2. Update file storage, email and mySI-net
  3. Return equipment and clean workspaces
  4. Prepare for graduation

Work with your Advisors to wrap up any grants that are finishing. If you have a scholarship, check its expiry date (student login required).

If you've placed an embargo on your thesis, make sure you keep your contact information up to date with UQ through the Alumni and Community website, so you can be reached when the embargo nears an end.

Speak with your Advisor to make sure you're clear on any non-disclosure/confidentiality as it applies to your research and future publications.
