Technical issues during an exam

You must make all reasonable attempts to seek support if you experience a technical issue during your exam.

• On-campus Inspera exams: Tech Assistants can provide support for unexpected issues that occur in the exam room. However, you must make all reasonable efforts to arrive at your exam prepared, including downloading and testing Safe Exam Browser on your laptop or borrowing a laptop from the Library.
• Digital ProctorU exams: Reach out to your proctor via chat if you're experiencing problems. With your permission, your proctor can provide technical support by taking control of your screen through LogMeIn to securely connect to your PC or Mac. You will see what they are doing on your screen and can revoke their access at any time.
• All digital exams. Contact AskUs Support as soon as you become aware of a technical issue occurring.

If your problem can't be resolved during the exam, you can apply for a deferred examination. You will need to include supporting documentation, such as screenshots of the error message or issue with the time and date on your computer, and transcripts of your chat logs with AskUs.
