Business, Economics and Law (BEL) students need to be familiar with their program plan and progression check sheets. These help you identify core and elective courses, see how close you are to finishing your degree and what you still need to complete.

How to use your program plan

Download your program plan via the link under your program name below and use it to map your course enrolment.

Following your program plan is important because:

  • it shows you which courses to take and when so that you meet your program's rules and graduate on time
  • it orders your courses to help you meet progression requirements
  • it helps you balance study load, prerequisites, and future opportunities such as overseas exchange or internships.

Complete a progression check

A progression check lets you:

  • see which courses you’ve already completed
  • check what’s still required for your program
  • plan the rest of your studies with confidence.

You’re encouraged to complete a progression check mid to late in your program.

Start your progression check

Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Find your program's progression check sheet via the link under your program name below.
    1. Select the sheet for your program and the year you started.
    2. If you began your program before the listed years, email bel@uq.edu.au for help.
  2. Print or download your progression check.
  3. Follow the instructions on how to complete your progression check.

This sheet is for your own use. You are responsible for making sure you meet all program rules and complete enough units to graduate. Any program advice is a guide only and is not binding on the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law or The University of Queensland.
