Now that you’ve changed your password, you may need to re-enter it when you use some UQ services.

Here's what you need to do:

  • UQ Wifi and Eduroam - you will be asked to enter your new password. If you are prompted to reconfigure your network as well, follow the Connecting to wifi instructions.
  • Student email - you won’t need to update anything. Your student email won’t be affected because your email password is different to your UQ account password.
  • Staff email - Microsoft Outlook will ask you for your new password. If you are prompted to reconfigure your network as well, follow the instructions for Setting up staff email.
  • Browsers and saved passwords - if you have asked your browser to save your password, it will keep using the old password until you manually clear it and update it. Find out how to clear your stored passwords.
  • mySI-net - for any password problems with mySI-net, submit an IT request.
