Contact Student Central for advice about your options and the withdrawal process.

Staff at Student Advocacy and Support can also give you free advice and support to help you with your Removal of Courses due to Special Circumstances application or review request (appeal).

If you've been experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, or other problems, Student Services offers confidential and free online counselling or face-to-face counselling for students.

Domestic undergraduate students

If you're in your first semester, email Admissions for advice before withdrawing from a course or program: admissions@uq.edu.au.

Domestic postgraduate coursework students

International students

You must seek advice from your faculty before dropping a course or withdrawing from your program.

Higher Degree by Research students

You do not need your supervisors' permission to withdraw, but we encourage you to discuss your options with your advisory team.

HDR students can withdraw online.

Withdrawing won’t stop you applying for re-admission at a future date.
