Student finances

Fees and payments

Once you've enrolled in your courses, you'll need to wait overnight for your fees to display in mySI-net. After this time, you can go to the 'Financials' tile to see how much you owe and to view your invoice.

Important dates

When it comes to student fees, you need be aware of 2 critical dates:

  • 1. Due date for the payment of fees – All fees, including course fees and the Student Services and Amenities Fee, must be paid by this date. Go to the 'Financials' tile in mySI-net to see due dates.
  • 2. Census date – All enrolment details and fee payments are finalised on Census date. After this date, course fees are non-refundable and you won't be able to enrol in courses, unless there are extraordinary or exceptional circumstances.

To check the Census date:

  • for standard semesters, research quarters and teaching periods, view the Academic Calendar.
  • for programs and courses with unique dates, click on the 'Enrolments' tile in mySI-net. The Census date is displayed in the first row of each course summary table.

To view an invoice, go to the 'Financials' tile in mySI-net, then choose 'Invoice' from the left-hand side menu.

UQ-Ochsner students

UQ-Ochsner students have a unique payment process – most of your fees will be paid in US dollars rather than Australian dollars. Before you go any further, log in to find out what to do.
