Autodesk for Education AutoCAD toolsets
Accessing Autodesk for Education
UQ staff, students and visitors can access Autodesk for Education on UQ-owned computers. Ask your local IT support team or submit an IT request to have it installed.
Home use
Autodesk for Education cannot be used on personal computers using a UQ licence. You can download the Autodesk Free Education Software by registering as an individual using your UQ email address.
Conditions of use
Autodesk for Education can be used at UQ for:
- learning
- teaching and training
- research and development purposes that are part of the instructional functions performed by UQ.
It cannot be used for commercial, professional or for-profit reasons.
The Autodesk Educational Licence runs for three years from 1 November 2017 to 31 October 2020.
Autodesk for Education should only be used within Australia.
Personal information collected while using Autodesk may be transferred and stored overseas by Autodesk and its affiliates.
You should seek legal advice if you intend to:
- use the software for design, analysis, simulation, testing or other activities related to nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, rocket systems, unmanned air vehicles
- disclose, transfer, download, export or re-export any output or content generated by using the software to any country other than the United States
- allow staff and students to use the software if they are citizens of countries the subject of US trade sanctions or significant trade restrictions (including Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria and North Korea).
