To help keep track of progress and any difficulties, all HDR candidates need to complete monthly research progress reports.

Research progress reports are 1–2 pages in length.

These reports are designed to help you and your advisors review your progress and any impact or disadvantage you may experience.

research progress template (DOCX, 49.9 KB) is available.

Research Data Manager (RDM)

Upload your research progress report to your project record in the Research Data Manager (RDM) and share them with your advisors.

See the UQ Research Data Manager guide for advice on setting up and using the RDM.

Keep these records of your progress, and any challenges you face, to help us assist you later if other options or an extension need to be explored. While progress reports are not a requirement of progress reviews, you may find them useful to refer to when outlining any challenges you have faced or adjustments you have had to make during your studies as part of the progress review process.
