UQ provides a free service to anyone with a legitimate interest in verifying the qualifications of a UQ graduate.

If you're an employer, a representative from another university, or any other legitimate third party, use the online service to quickly verify a graduate's claims to academic qualifications conferred by The University of Queensland.

In accordance with our Privacy Policy, we can only disclose a graduate's name, award (i.e. degree, diploma, certificate), and the date of conferral. This information is considered a matter of public record.

To ensure requests are made for genuine reasons, you will be asked to enter information about yourself. Information is not made public and is used and stored in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

What happens if no search results are returned?

There may be a number of reasons why a result is not returned (e.g. more than one UQ graduate exists with the same name and date of birth). If you are unable to locate the student’s details, email transcripts@uq.edu.au with the requested information. Scanned copies of a degree will not be verified and the online service above should be used to verify the conferral.

With the permission of the person in question, you can request limited additional verification information (for instance, a student’s major and dates of enrolment) by submitting a manual Verification of Award payment. This is only available for conferred records and not available to current student records.

You will have to pay $30 and you will need the written consent of the person whose details you are verifying.

Email your request, your payment receipt, and the written consent of the student to transcripts@uq.edu.au
