Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence
Each semester, the Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence is awarded to students who have achieved outstanding results and who have shown strong commitment to their studies.
To be eligible for a Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence, you must achieve a minimum semester GPA of 6.6.
Awards are managed and distributed by each of the University's six faculties.
Undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, honours, and study-abroad students are all eligible.
Students must either be:
- enrolled full-time in Semester 1, Semester 2, or Summer Semester, or
- enrolled part-time (at least 6 units in a calendar year). Part-time students may not have studied full-time for any portion of the year.
The award is listed on both your studies report and academic transcript. A letter of congratulations may also be sent by your faculty.
Students do not need to apply for the award.
