Each semester, the Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence is awarded to students who have achieved outstanding results.

To be eligible for a Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence, you must have achieved a minimum semester GPA of 6.6 and have shown a strong commitment to your studies.

Awards are managed and distributed by each of the University's six faculties. Undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, honours, and study-abroad students are all eligible.

Students must either be:

  • enrolled full-time in Semester 1, Semester 2, or Summer Semester, or
  • enrolled part-time (at least 6 units in a calendar year). Part-time students may not have studied full-time for any portion of the year.

The award is listed on both your studies report and academic transcript. A letter of congratulations may also be sent by your faculty. Students don't apply for the award.
