Tableau is data visualisation software that allows you to interact with graphs and diagrams representing information in interesting and useful ways.

Accessing Tableau

Tableau is free for students, teaching staff and researchers doing non-commercial research. Retrieve a license for students or a license for teaching staff and researchers and then submit an IT request to have Tableau installed on UQ computers.

Home use

• Students: you can use Tableau on your own devices by requesting a free license through Tableau for Students
• Staff: teaching staff can request an individual license for use on their own devices or a bulk license for their class or computer lab using Tableau for Teaching to request free licenses. Researchers can request an individual license for use on their own devices for non-commercial research use.

Conditions of use

Tableau is available at UQ for academic and non-commercial purposes.
