Accessing Cortex XDR

Cortex XDR is installed on all UQ-managed computers and should remain enabled at all times.

Staff can submit an IT request to have Cortex XDR installed on UQ-owned, unmanaged computers.

Home use

You should protect yourself from identity theft, financial loss and theft of your intellectual property by installing endpoint protection software on your own personal devices.

UQ doesn’t provide Cortex XDR or any other endpoint protection software for use on your personal devices, though suggests using a reputable service such as Symantec. Symantec’s Norton Security Deluxe is available for all UQ staff and students at a discounted price.
