Master of Psychology: Health, Counselling and Sport & Exercise Psychology Orientation
Introduction
Welcome to the School of Psychology.
Who should attend
This is a required information session for commencing students in the Health, Counselling, and Sport and Exercise Psychology masters programs in Sem 1, 2026.
What's involved
This session will cover a welcome from the Program Director and introductions from the teaching team. It will also include an overview of the program including recommended study plans and Q&A.
Please note, you will be directed to the 'Postgraduate Psychology Orientation – All Programs' event at 11:00am and then you will return to the Health, Counselling and Sport & Exercise Psychology Orientation for the afternoon.
For the 'Postgraduate Psychology Orientation - All Programs' session, you will be joined by the Head of School, Professor Jolanda Jetten, who will welcome all students commencing a Masters in any Psychology discipline. It will also include important Library, OH&S and Student Support Services information.
You can also join the optional Postgraduate Psychology Social Mixer for students commencing a Masters in any Psychology discipline in Sem 1, 2026. This mixer will be from 5:00pm - 7:00pm after your program session, and is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet and mingle with students and staff across all programs.

Orientation is a program of activities designed to introduce you to live and study at UQ.
To ensure you have the information and tools you need to succeed at UQ, you should attend:
