Moving from outside Brisbane?

Private rentals

If you can't find accommodation on-campus or through one of our off-campus providers, you can search for a private rental through the UQ Rentals website to find UQ approved listings:

You can also search for private rentals through external websites like Domain,  realestate.com.au, flatmates.com.au or rent.com.au – but these websites are not vetted by UQ.

Public transport to and from campus

When you're considering a private rental, research the transportation available from the accommodation to your campus. You can see travel times and costs on the Translink website.

You may need to live in a suburb further away from UQ's main campus. It's common for people in Brisbane to commute for 40–50 minutes.
