Scholarships for accommodation

You'll find plenty of scholarships to help you with accommodation costs.

With both on-campus residential colleges and off-campus purpose built student living providers offering scholarships, you'll be able to find the support you need.

And UQ's scholarships can fund more than just textbooks – for example, our HDR scholarships can be used towards accommodation. Check the scholarships below to find something to suit you.

Before you apply, remember to check:

  • opening and closing dates for the scholarships you're interested in applying for
  • the type of accommodation you're staying in matches the scholarship type
  • eligibility criteria, to make sure you're applying for the right scholarship for you.

 

UQ residential scholarships

We have a range of scholarships on offer for students living on-campus.

UQ Residential Scholarships

The UQ Residential Scholarships program supports students with financial hardship to study at UQ. The scholarships are paid as a reduction in the residential fees payable to an approved accommodation provider.

This scholarship is available to all Duchesne College residents at undergraduate and Honours-level, who are enrolled in music at UQ.

Peter Høj and Mandy Thomas Indigenous Student Scholarship

This scholarship supports Indigenous students undertaking any program at UQ. It covers accommodation costs for Kev Carmody House in UQ Student Residences.

This scholarship supports full-time engineering students in their second year and beyond and helps them to continue residing at St John's College.

This scholarship supports students who are enrolled in studies in music and are residents of St Leo's College by providing up to $6000 per year towards accommodation costs.
