How to organise a Progress Review

The following guidelines outline the management and conduct of HDR Progress Reviews in the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry. These guidelines should be used in combination with the Higher Degree by Research Candidature Policy and the Higher Degree by Research Candidature Procedure. Note 1: Documents should be submitted by the census date in of research quarter in which your review is due.

Note 2: Progress reviews should, if feasible, be scheduled to fit into your discipline’s seminar series.

Panel Composition

Your Progress Review Panel (PRP) in the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry will consist of a chair and at least one reviewer. Typically, the chair is your discipline research and research training advisor, and the reviewers are staff or honorary staff.
