Congratulations on your decision to study as a postgraduate student at The University of Queensland’s School of Public Health. We are delighted to welcome you!
Who should attend
This program is required for all new students commencing in a postgraduate degree in public health in Sem 2, 2025, including:
• Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Public Health
• Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Environmental Health
• Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Epidemiology
• Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Biostatistics
What's involved
To help you prepare for the path ahead, we have organised an informative program orientation session.
As part of this session, you will:
• Learn the ins-and-outs of your degree
• Discover support services available to you
• Hear the experiences of past and current students
• Meet our School of Public Health Student Association
• Meet your teachers and cohort
This event will finish with a campus tour and complimentary lunch.

Orientation is a program of social and academic activities designed to introduce you to live and study at UQ.
Our Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences orientation events give you a great opportunity to meet students from across the faculty and understand how we can support you throughout your journey.

- a placements information session if you'll need to complete placements as part of your program.
