Who should attend 

This program is required for all new students commencing in the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences in Sem 1, 2026. 

What's involved 

We have put together a diverse program orientation schedule to introduce you to the degree and give you an overview of what to expect in the coming years.

As part of this session, you will:

  • Meet some of your future lecturers and current students
  • Meet the UQ Association of Biomedical Students
  • Meet administrative staff who will play a key role in guiding you through your degree
  • Connect with your fellow peers at a fun social event featuring a free lunch, giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to meet new friends.

Orientation is a program of activities designed to introduce you to live and study at UQ.

To ensure you have the information and tools you need to succeed at UQ, you should attend:

  • all program (degree) information sessions that are relevant to your studies
  • a placements information session if you'll need to complete placements as part of your program.
