UQ Multi-Faith Chaplaincy
The UQ Multi-Faith Chaplaincy is an inclusive space to share faith, traditions and spiritual practices with respect for each person’s spiritual journey and chosen faith.
All students, staff and the wider UQ community are welcome. We have volunteer Chaplains and Faith Leaders who provide pastoral care, support, spiritual conversations, learning and events for many faiths. This includes:
- Anglican
- Buddhist (Pureland)
- Buddhist (Theravada)
- Evangelical
- Hindu
- Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
- Muslim
- Presbyterian
- Roman Catholic
Our services and facilities
The Multi-Faith Chaplaincy is open daily and offers opportunities for:
- prayer, meditation and worship
- individual spiritual guidance and direction
- informal gatherings
- reading or discussion groups.
The Multi-Faith Chaplaincy is located on the St Lucia campus in Building 38. Facilities include:
- Room 102: prayer space that will accommodate 300 people
- Room 202: boardroom meeting room
- Room 209: large meeting room
- Room 105: meditation room
- Room 210: non-denominational chapel.
Audiovisual presentation equipment is available in some rooms. Office spaces are also available.
Book a room
Most Multi-Faitch Chaplaincy facilities are bookable through your student or staff Outlook account:
- Create a new meeting and name it appropriately (Fatih Group name and activity type, ie. prayer, meeting, bible study).
- Invite all attendees, including the room you would like to book in Building 38.
- In the notes section of the calendar invite, please include your full name and mobile phone contact number for the booking
- Send your meeting request.

If the room you'd like to book is unavailable, you'll quickly receive an email informing you of this. To check room availability before attempting recurring bookings, please email chaplaincy@uq.edu.au.
