Forwarding student email
You can forward your student email to a different address.
Current student
To set up email forwarding, follow these steps:
- Log in to your student email via the web version of Outlook.com.
- Go to Settings at the top of the page.
- Type 'forwarding' into the 'Search settings' box and click the result 'Forwarding'.
- Turn on 'Enable forwarding'.
- Enter your preferred email address under 'Forward my emails to'.
- Tick the box 'Keep a copy of forwarded messages'. If something goes wrong, you'll still have a copy of your messages.
- Click 'Save'.
Past student
To update your forwarding preferences for when you’ve completed your studies or you are no longer an active UQ student, follow these steps:
- Log in to your account through the my.UQ dashboard.
- Go to ‘My profile’.
- Check and update your personal contact details to ensure they are current.
- Scroll to the ‘Email forwarding’ section and click ‘Change forwarding’.
- Choose either;
- ‘Personal email address’ to forward to a personal email address.
- ‘UQ alumni mailbox’ if you have one and want to forward to your UQ alumni mailbox.
- 'Do not forward'. In the future, if you need to update your details or request a transcript, you need to turn on forwarding temporarily to confirm your identity.
- Click ‘Update email forwarding’ to save your changes.
