Building/Lab Access | After-hours building and office access is controlled by proximity card (UQ identification card). Desk Allocation | The School’s Executive Support Officer, Ms Julia-Michel Clark (j.michel-clark@uq.edu.au) coordinates and assigns desks for HDR candidates as part of the local induction. |
Equipment Requests | All HDR students in the School are provided with access to a desktop computer. For any IT-related support please contact UQ’s IT HelpDesk. The School has research equipment available, including a laptop, video camera, and audio recording devices; these are managed through the UQ Book It system (access arranged by the Executive Support Officer, Ms Julia-Michel Clark (j.michel-clark@uq.edu.au), at induction). |

HDR Funding | HDR candidates who have successfully completed confirmation can apply for funding (up to $3500 for PhD; up to $1750 for MPhil). See the School's website for details. |
Specialised HDR training | School-based training includes workshops and masterclasses presented by Social Science staff on topics that reflect the changing needs of the cohort. You will be notified of opportunities through the HDR student mailing list and School of Social Science newsletter as they arise. |
