We're hiring: current students wanted to work at graduation ceremonies
The Graduations team is recruiting current students as casual staff to perform crucial functions at graduation ceremonies, including:
- hall usher
- student proctor
- stage/cylinder staff
- certificate table staff
- information/ticket desk
- registration staff
Availability for December 2024 ceremonies is essential to the role. The dates for the graduation ceremony rounds are:
- December ceremonies: 5-16 December 2024
- July ceremonies: 14-18 July 2025
Successful applicants may be rostered for both December 2024 and/or July 2025 ceremonies.
About you
To be a successful candidate, you must:
- be currently studying at The University of Queensland.
- possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to address a broad range of students and stakeholders on a variety of levels
- demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and understand the importance of deadlines
- have experience of working in a team, following instructions, and using your initiative to solve problems
- have valid work rights in Australia to apply for this opportunity.
