Why study Psychology?

Psychology is a broad ranging discipline that includes the scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes, and the systematic application of this knowledge in specific contexts such as mental health, work, education and sport. Psychology students are equipped with a potent and diverse set of skills including critical thinking, research methodology, statistical analysis, and the ability to understand human behaviour. Many people who study psychology will go on to have careers outside psychology, and will find their training in psychology to be highly relevant and useful in their lives and work, as well as highly desirable to a range of employers.
