Why study Geography?
Geography is a discipline concerned with identifying, understanding, and interpreting the patterns and processes of natural and built environments and of human activities, and their causes and consequences. Geographers collect, analyse and report this information to enable informed decision making to take place. The major in Geography is a trains students to work at the cutting edge of fields including demography and population growth; housing & urbanisation; urbanisation and suburbanisation; and, globalisation and economic change. The core of the major focusses on substantive coursework in one or more sub-disciplines of Geography along with a focus on geospatial technologies.
