Course description
Second supervised practice experience for MSocWkSt students enrolled in the #32 unit program. Placement runs for 500 hours (approximately 18 weeks commencing two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester, four days a week), in a social welfare agency. Focuses on integration of practice experience with course material and companion courses. Departmental consent required for enrolment. Please contact the School for permission to enrol. Prospective students are advised to contact the Field Education Unit to arrange a pre-placement interview, in the month of April of the same year, prior to going on placement in semester 2; and in the month of October of the previous year, prior to going on placement in semester 1. Please note that supplementary assessment is not available for this course.
