Examination, assignments and participation.
1. Completion of 150/200 hours of workplace practicum.
Mid and end of semester placement reports to be completed by onsite supervisors.
Logs of contact and non-contact hours to be completed by student and
sighted by onsite and UQ supervisors. Hurdle 0%
2. Reflective journal completed weekly (minimum 10). 50%
3. Presentation of a case study in written format based on clinical placement. 50%

Course description
This Practicum course provides the opportunity to develop clinical skills in treatment settings. The emphasis of the first placement is assessment of mental health issues including conducting a MSE, and developing formulations and treatment plans. An emphasis is on students demonstrating effective therapeutic engagement with clients. Art Therapy Field of Study requirements will be met by this course.
