Course description
This subject examines law as an instrument of governance. The topics covered include constitutionalism and the rule of law, administrative law, freedom of information, judicial review, conceptions of justice, the courts and the adversarial system, Australian constitutionalism and the federal system, the judicialisation of politics, anti-discrimination, the law as an instrument in constructing social categories, and access to the law.
