Course description

This is the first course in the PICU/NICU field of study. It will support students to achieve the knowledge required to perform a thorough assessment of the child/neonate and provide specialist care and treatment modalities. Students will explore the impact of nursing practice, the prevention of iatrogenic harm, risk management and family centred care to promote optimal patient outcomes within the context of the specialist setting.
