This is a year long course. It commences in Semester 1, 2025 and completes in Semester 2, 2025.
Course description
This course will be first offered from Semester 1 2025. This is a 16-unit, year-long course with MEDI7200 as a prerequisite. The focus of the course is on integrating the six vertical themes of the well-rounded doctor in a variety of clinical settings with a particular focus on clinical skill development in the contexts of: General Medicine; Surgery and Peri-operative Care; Child and Adolscent Health; Mental Health (incorporating Pain, Suffering and Vulnerability); and Reproductive (Women's and Men's) Health. Throughout the year, students will also engage in a structure teaching program that integrates clinical sciences, practice and the six themes across the year as well as complete a team scholarly project.
