Course description
This course covers the skin cancer consultation in primary care, focussing on assessment and diagnosis. The basis of this is targeted history taking and a thorough skin cancer examination. We aim to develop pattern recognition and pattern analysis skills, building on the foundation of the Revised Pattern Analysis technique taught in IMED7001 and IMED7002.This will include on-line training in dermoscopy dermatoscopy and expose students to modern imaging techniques (including digital photography) and interpretation of pathology reports.
