Course description

This course is primarily a practical subject using a student's knowledge of the teaching of literacy and numeracy, and other content areas. It (a) provides students with the understandings and skills to successfully negotiate the day-to-day tasks required of support teachers, and (b) gives students an opportunity to use instructional practices while working with individual students or groups of students who have learning difficulties in schools. The focus is on the practical aspects of working in schools to assist in the provision of instruction for students with learning difficulties.
