Course description

`Nutrigenomics' is the term used to describe the interface between the nutritional environment and cellular and/or genetic processes. The course provides a molecular genetic understanding of how nutrients and dietary phytochemicals affect productivity and health by altering the expression and/or structure of an individual's genetic makeup. It is aimed at better understanding how an individual's genetic background determines the level of dietary intake required for optimising production and health.
