Scams - Awareness and Support
Scams are everywhere and common in all countries around the world, including Australia. Scammers use many different ways to reach people, including text, phone calls, emails or social media. It's important you're aware of what to look for when you may be exposed to a potential scam and what steps to take if you have been scammed or had an attempted scam. These resources should help with providing information and advice on scams.

Practical ways to take care of yourself

During this time, it is important that you continue to be proactive in taking steps to maintain your health and wellbeing, so as to avoid overwhelming feelings of anxiety and stress.

The university cares about your safety and wellbeing and we understand that being overwhelmed with financial stress is difficult to deal with, especially if you have no income and/ or cannot afford basic necessities. Alongside the Financial Hardship Scheme, and in addition to creating a budget to keep track of your comings and goings, we have compiled a list of community based services that you can also reach out to for further guidance and support, as well as some helpful and practical ways for you to stay on track.
