Why study the Doctor of Dental Science?
As the highest academic award in dentistry, the Doctor of Dental Science (DDSc) is designed to give formal public recognition to scholars who have made outstanding contributions to dental science.
The DDSc award recognises a contribution to Dental Science acknowledged by the international community through publication, following an extended period of self-directed study and research in an area of Dental Science. A candidate is required to submit published works which will be examined for evidence of scholarship and achievement in the advancement of knowledge in an area of Dental Science.

To be eligible to apply to be admitted to a higher doctorate program an applicant must satisfy the minimum admission requirements set out in PPL 4.70.04 Higher Doctorates - Higher Doctorate Admission Requirements Schedule.
