Why study the Master of Conservation Biology?
The Master of Conservation Biology covers the integrative disciplines of conservation, ecology and biodiversity. It focuses on the problems of restoring and maintaining viable populations of animal and plant species, and natural and managed ecosystems. You will gain a comprehensive theoretical understanding of conservation biology, as well as practical training and skills through study trips to some of Australia's most unique field sites.
The program can be completed within one year. Students in this program may upgrade into the Master of Conservation Biology (Advanced).
Domestic students A limited number of Australian Government Commonwealth supported places (CSPs) are available for domestic students. CSP students pay a student contribution amount, which varies depending on courses undertaken, rather than paying tuition fees. Domestic students who apply for entry to the program will automatically be considered for a CSP and do not need to complete a separate application. CSPs are limited and are not guaranteed for all domestic applicants. Students granted a CSP are required to submit a `Request for Commonwealth support and HECS-HELP' form, available via mySI-net.
