Entry requirements

Prerequisites

Bachelor degree or equivalent with a GPA of at least 5.25 on a 7 point scale.

Each partner institution requires a GMAT score for entry into their program. While we do not require a GMAT for entry into the MGMan, to meet the requirements of our partners you must have completed a GMAT prior to applying for the MGMan and include this with your application.

Additional application information

A commencing UQ student will be required to satisfy the entry requirements set by the preferred overseas partner institutions (including the GMAT with a minimum score of 600) before progression is approved.

An inbound student must be admitted to an approved program at a partner institution and have successfully completed the UQ equivalent of #8-16 with a cumulative GPA UQ equivalent of 5.25 on a 7 point scale.

The following supporting documentation is required for all applications. Please ensure that you have included ALL required documentation when you submit your application.

  • Official transcripts of previous studies.
  • Evidence of work experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that your CV includes your full work history, and outlines the major activities you undertake on a daily basis (if you are applying obo work experience).
  • Evidence of residency status.
  • Permanent residents will be required to sit an IELTS test if their prior studies were taught in an institution where English was not the language of instruction.

A student must, if required by the Executive Dean, pass a qualifying examination in any or all of

  • basic computing;
  • written communication;
  • basic mathematics;
  • basic statistics,
before enrolment is approved.

The Master of Global Management is a postgraduate double degree run in conjunction with five leading business schools in Europe and Canada. Students spend the first year studying at UQ Business School, and the second year studying overseas at one of our partner institutions. Program rules for the Master of Global Management

To complete the Master of Global Management

To fulfil the requirements of the Master of Global Management, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.

A student is required to obtain 32 units from the MGMan List comprising -

  • 6 units from Part A; and
  • 26 units from Part B
16 units of those required must be obtained from completed study at a partner institution.

A commencing UQ student must complete all of Part A at The University of Queensland. Refer to the MGMan rules for further information.
