Prerequisites
Applicants must:
- Hold an approved degree with a GPA of 5+; or
- A degree in another discipline with a GPA of 5+ & have completed 12 months FT work in an approved healthcare setting; or
- The GCEpi and/or GDipEpi from the University (or equivalent).
- Passed a tertiary quantitative research methods course with a grade of 5+; or
- Demonstrate an active contribution to a research publication; or
- Provide a referee/research mentor report confirming skills & experience with health-related quantitative research.

Why study the Master of Epidemiology?
This program aims to provide structured coursework developing epidemiological, biostatistical and methodological skills to an advanced level.
All expenses incurred with dissertation are the responsibility of the student.
Limited Summer Semester entry is available to domestic students only as elective courses only are offered in that semester.

What you can do with a Master of Epidemiology
Careers
UQ's Epidemiology program is geared toward individuals interested in pursuing careers as independent investigators in either public health (standard plan) or clinical research (clinical epidemiology plan). Four main areas of work hire epidemiologists and these are clinical/academia, health departments, industry and infection control.
