Ergonomics is not available to international students who wish to study onshore in Australia. It can only be studied offshore through distance mode and students therefore do not need to apply for a visa.
All the Ergonomics courses are offered in external mode and require internet access.

Why study the Graduate Certificate in Ergonomics?
Ergonomics is an exciting scientific field to study at it involves understanding ourselves (our abilities and limitations), in order to improve our interaction with products, systems and environments in which we exist. It is a growing field and the importance of its applications are becoming more and more apparent in today's busy and complex world. This suite of programs will provides students with the skills to identify ergonomics hazards in human-technology-environment systems, to assess their associated risks and to use a user-centred, systems approach to prevent injury and enhance health and safety. Programs offer flexible, work-based learning and are delivered entirely online using proven online learning pedagogies and discussion forums to allow contact with expert staff and other students. Postgraduate programs in ergonomics provide students with the opportunity to enhance current knowledge and bring new theories, creative approaches and skills to their workplace or start a new career in ergonomics. Careers
Qualified ergonomists are increasingly in demand, especially for positions with government agencies such as Workplace Health and Safety Queensland. Opportunities also exist for ergonomists to work within large corporations in diverse industries, and as self-employed consultants.

To complete the Graduate Certificate in Ergonomics
To fulfil the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Ergonomics, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
A student is required to obtain #8 from the GCErg list or from other courses as approved by the Executive Dean. Refer to GCErg rules for further information.
