Entry is competitive based on GPA.

Domestic students enrolled in the MAudSt may be eligible for income support and should contact Centrelink.
This program may have inherent requirement that need to be met prior to undertaking placement.
Students are required to provide proof of immunisation against certain diseases, as per the School's immunisation schedule.
A First Aid Certificate (including CPR) and a Blue Card are also required before the commencement of the program.
For applicants who need to provide evidence of English proficiency, please note that this program requires a higher level of English language proficiency than the UQ minimum.

What you can study
This program guides students through the foundational and advanced theoretical aspects of audiology closely integrated with practical clinical skills in preparation for a career as a clinical audiologist. Students also gain the ability to contribute to the development of clinical audiology through research opportunities throughout the program.

Placement courses
Students undertake over 350 hours of supervised clinical practice in a range of clinical settings that includes hospitals, private practices, educational facilities and UQ's internal clinics. During their placements, students will have the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge acquired through coursework and research to practice and develop their clinical skills in real life settings.
Students will commence their clinical placements in semester two of the program.
Students may be required to undertake clinical placements outside of the Brisbane metropolitan area and students are required to fund their travel, accommodation and daily living expenses.

- Students are expected to fund travel and living expenses associated with placements, some of which may be outside the Brisbane metropolitan area.
