This dual degree program is designed to provide students with a professional career in music and a depth of understanding in one or more fields of knowledge in the humanities and social sciences, and culminates in advanced research training in their chosen Music Honours field. What you can do with a Bachelors of Music (Honours)/Arts
Careers
Graduates of the BA find employment in a wide range of fields, with future directions dependent on the chosen area of study. Specialised areas of study can lead to careers in Psychology or Journalism, while study in History, Political Science, and Criminology, can provide the basis for careers in government, business, media, and humanitarian fields. Music graduates may gain employment in areas such as performance, accompanying, composing, arranging, lecturing, music editing, arts or education administration, librarianship, research, music programming, media work (journalist, critic, author), music education (instrumental school or studio).
