Why study the Bachelors of Human Services/Arts?

Human service practitioners help everyday people in need. Professional practice in the human services is complex, challenging and very rewarding because it's about making a real difference in people's lives and building a better world. The Bachelor of Human Services prepares students to work in a range of human service roles with a focus on children and youth, families and/or community development.

In order to develop job ready skills and abilities students undertake two professional placements in community-based human service agencies. These work placements help to secure employment for many students and they meet the accreditation guidelines of the Australian Community Workers Association.

The Bachelor of Arts component allows students to choose from a wide variety of majors to either complement their human services studies, or to broaden their knowledge in another field, thus expanding their opportunities to work in different areas of human services.

Note: Subject to final approval, this program will no longer be offered from 2017. Visit the following website for further information.
