The courses available at Ipswich are designed to provide a pathway to the Bachelor of Arts at St Lucia.

What you can study

The four courses available at Ipswich will normally be in the areas of Communication, English, History and Philosophy. Note: there are no Arts courses offered in the second semester at the Ipswich campus.

Program rules for the Bachelor of Arts

To complete the Bachelor of Arts

To fulfil the requirements of the Bachelor of Arts, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.

A student is required to obtain #48, comprising:

  • either two single majors or one extended major and a minor in a different field and the balance of electives from Part A or Part B or other courses approved by the Executive Dean.

Students are also requested to note the following policies:

  • a course can only count towards one major;
  • first #8 must be from Part A or Part B;
  • minimum of #28 at advanced level courses;
  • no more than #32 may be from a single field;
  • may not enrol on a cross-institutional basis prior to the completion of #16 in the program;
  • must complete #8 at the home campus prior to enrolling in courses at another campus.
