Why study Social Planning?
In this field students are expected to gain skills and knowledge expected from a professional social planner for constructing a social plan to guide resource allocation and service/facility planning; ensuring that social needs, along with economic and environmental concerns are carefully considered when decisions are made for development; and inclusive measures developed for maintaining social justice and harmony. Students will learn social planning concepts and theories, techniques in assessing social needs, social impacts, monitoring and evaluating social programs and development projects.
