Why study Shakespeare Studies?
Shakespeare studies provides students with a comprehensive investigation into Shakespeare's works, their historical, social, and political contexts, and a range of discourses and theatre practices relevant to their contemporary reading and performance. Courses are available in Renaissance drama texts, performance, dramatic and critical theory, and research methods. Students also have the opportunity to be involved in a practical secondment with a theatre company. Please note that this program is designed for students with little or no prior background in the field. Some of the courses listed in this field are delivered jointly to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
