Why study Mathematics?

The Mathematics field has been designed to meet the increasing professional demands on secondary mathematics teachers. It provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to engage productively with recent and forthcoming changes to Queensland mathematics syllabuses. The program focuses on strengthening teachers' mathematical content knowledge, and on the practicalities of planning, teaching, and assessment in secondary school mathematics. Participants will also examine current issues in Mathematics education and their implications for practice.

To undertake this field of study students must seek special permission from the Head of School.
